As everyone is aware by now if you own property in Baltimore County that you currently rent or are going to rent to someone, you must get a Rental Property License to do so.

When contacting me to set up your Baltimore County Rental Registration Inspection appointment please do not forget to inform me of your current mailing address. Your current mailing address is where you want Baltimore County Code Enforcement to mail your Rental License to.

Also.... if you are not currently using my services for your Rental Inspections please make sure that the person you are using is licensed by the state of Maryland. Your registration form will be rejected and you could be subjected to fines due to this error.

Baltimore County Rental Inspections

All buildings or a portion of a building that contain one to six dwelling units intended or designated as rental units must register and be licensed with Baltimore County on or before January 1, 2009.

On December 19, 2007, Baltimore County Council Bill 87-07 was passed requiring that all buildings or a portion of a building that contain one to six dwelling units, intended, or designed to be rented, leased, let or be hired out to be occupied for living purposes be registered and licensed with Baltimore County.

The Baltimore County Rental Inspection must be completed by a "Maryland Licensed Home Inspector". Front & Rear photographs of the property must also be taken by the Home Inspector. Photographs must include the proper information embedded on the photograph! (See Example Below)
